FOR RELEASE: June 15, 2007
Scott J. Brook, Mayor of Coral Springs and Workers' Compensation Attorney, was a keynote speaker at the 16th Annual Claims Management Conference & Leadership Retreat in Bonita Springs, Florida. Sponsored by the Association of Workers' Compensation Claims Professionals (WCCP), the conference was held from June 10th -13th, where Brook spoke on the topic of balance on Tuesday the 12th.
Each year, Florida's Claims Management Conference hosts a combination of leadership, inspiration, operations, human resources, and technical claims and medical development, and during this one Scott Brook was asked to speak about balancing the many aspects of life.
After working for two major law firms in New York City, Mr. Brook graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1992 and immediately began doing Workers' Compensation litigation for the firm of Conroy, Simberg and Lewis.
In March 2000, Mr. Brook opened his own practice, Scott J. Brook, P.A, to better serve clients in the South Florida tri-county area. His firm specializes in Workers' Compensation and Family Law.
In March 2003, Brook also founded Premier Networking Alliance, a business referral and community service organization dedicated to helping market businesses and serve communities raising money for various charitable organizations. Three years later, Brook was elected as Mayor of Coral Springs.
Because of his busy schedule and lifestyle, Scott Brook was a perfect candidate to address the conference about what it takes to balance life. He spoke about balancing priorities, major stressors in the work environment, and keeping commitments.
